Eligibility Criteria

  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Metallurgy/ Corrosion Engineering
  • 5 + years inspection experience with one or more API inspection certifications (API 510, 570 653)
  • Working knowledge of stationary equipment inspection codes and standards (API 510, 570, 653, ASME B&PV Sec VIII and B31.3)
  • Working knowledge of corrosion damage mechanisms(API 571) and basic metallurgy
  • Working knowledge of NDE techniques
  • Working knowledge of welding processes, codes and welding metallurgy
  • Knowledge of API RP 580 and 581
  • Experience with Meridium RBI or Capstone RBMI software, certified RBI Risk Analyst preferred
  • Knowledge and training in API-579, Fitness for Service analysis

Job Description

  • Provides technical support for multiple plants as an Inspection Risk Analyst. The analyst role utilizes Meridium (GE – APM) or RBMI software to oversee and manage the risk based inspection program. Duties include:
  • Develops inspection schedule and plans
  • Interfaces with plant MI Coordinator(s) to ensure timely completion and documentation of required inspections
  • Reviews inspection data and updates risk calculations after inspections are completed
  • Ensures non-conformance reports (NCR) are created and tracked to completion for inspection findings and deficiencies
  • Provides for and/or performs fitness for service evaluations on equipment deficiencies
  • Provides End-of-Life equipment replacement recommendations to plant or business capital portfolio management teams.
  • Assists with inspection and repair deferrals
  • Prepares and leads re validation of the corrosion study due to process changes, equipment changes or passage of time.
  • Assists or manages new implementations of RBI. Duties include:
  • Oversee/manage equipment and process data collection from electronic or paper files into an import spreadsheet
  • Prepare data for corrosion study using PFD, equipment and process data (organize data and set up visualization software)
  • Lead or assist in facilitation of corrosion study
  • Perform or oversee quality control checks of data to ensure accurate, efficient data import into RBI software
  • Run and review initial risk calculations
  • Develop inspection plans and review with plant personnel
  • Assist with training plant personnel to run and maintain the program
  • Provides consultations for mechanical integrity compliance or inspection technology
  • Participates/Leads corporate mechanical integrity audits or assessments
