Job Description

  • As an Senior Engineer in Chassis Architecture, you will be part of team that work in development of geometrical areas in projects and secure cross-functional balanced and verified areas. You will be heavily involved in projects from pre-studies all through development and interact with stakeholders from all over the organization to meet or balance their demands on the future product.
  • Proposing solutions for complete offer scenario/packaging to meet application, customer and cross functional requirements
  • Analysing and proposing common solutions to maximize common parts (Common Architecture & Shared Technologies)
  • Reach quality and maturity targets on the Geometrical deliverables, and escalate when needed
  • Plan Geometrical deliveries to meet the project overall geometrical time-plan
  • Manage geometrical discussions and drive for a balanced and agreed technical solution,
  • Support the Product Structure team in creating the Base Product Specification when it comes to geometrical restrictions and variant limitations
  • Sharing input regarding geometrical matters to stakeholders (Global Manufacturing, Aftermarket, and the commodities ex. Chassis, Cab, Electrical, Powertrain)
  • Building geometry verification plans (virtual builds, physical builds B/C, DMU structure)
  • Tracking and communicating all geometry related issues/activities
  • Masters or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 8-7 years of experience in product development projects within the automotive industry.
  • Proficient in Windchill PDM Link. Experience with PTC Creo preferred.
  • Working experience with JIRA tools and Agile methodology.
  • Vehicle coordinate systems and vehicle assembly processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Kola or any PLM tools required.
  • Previous experience in automotive packaging or mechanical systems engineering, Automotive, or Transportation industry experience preferred
  • Concept evaluation experience in tools such as QDCCF, Pugh Matrix, or similar

  • Must be able to direct the work cross-functionally.
