Visteon is Hiring for Mechanical Engineer

• Master’s degree in the field of mechanical or electrical engineering or similar;
• Previous experience;
• Proven knowledge in industrial and automotive standards – SAE/USCAR2, LV214, GMW3191, JIS C 5402, EIA 364, IESC.;
• Knowledge in the automotive/ powertrain connector market;
• Materials - knowledge on thermoplastics, elastomers, metals & plating materials;
• Tooling and mfg - knowledge on manufacturing process like molding, stamping, plating & assembly processes;
• Connector test and validation process - to be familiar with common mechanical, electrical and environmental automotive reliability tests;
• Knowledge in Electrification product will be considered as a plus:

      - electrical/mechanical design of power electronics;

• Electrical vehicle functional blocks;
• Battery Management Systems;
• HV & LV Electrical components.
• Good level of English (verbal and written).

• Understands, analyses, and uses the Connector database in Visteon, supporting ME and HW project teams with 3D data, 2D drawings, datasheets, specifications, test reports, etc.;
• Regular interactions with connector Component Engineering (CE), connector Commodity departments and Project engineers on a project;
• Keeps communication with Visteon approved connector suppliers with regular meetings, seminars, fairs, etc;
• Creates technical specifications for the connectors in a project respecting the customer input data and requirements;
• Takes part in the connector selection, comparing different alternatives with respect of technical performance, quality and price;
• Takes part in the process of developing new connectors with the suppliers;
• Supports the concept part of RFI/RFQs and development projects from connector perspective;
• Supports problem resolution activities related to connectors, cable/wire harnesses, FPC/FFCs, etc. in the Visteon developed products;
• Creates test specifications for connectors and supports the real measurements and test;
• Creates cable/wire harness specifications and interacts with the respective suppliers;
• Takes part of the selection of connectors and architectures for electrification products (BMS, CMC, On-board chargers, DC-DC convertors, Invertors);
• Supports VAVE activities for connectors.
