Eligibility Criteria

  • Btech, Mtech in Mechanical Engineering with 1-5+ years of experience. Recent grads with relevant internship experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Vacuum sealing design and linear/rotary actuator experience is a plus

Job Description

  • Assist with the design, documentation, build and test of vacuum isolation and pressure control valves, including machined and welded mechanical components, static and dynamic elastomer seals, and rotary and linear mechanical, pneumatic and electrical actuators.
  • Proficient with the use of CAD software for creation of 3D designs and 2D drawing packages. Both Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks are preferred tools.
  • Creation of effective and practical geometric dimensioning and tolerancing schemes for design documentation.
  • Select materials and design features based on analysis of specifications, performance, reliability, and manufacturability; work with part fabricators and commercial part suppliers.
  • Basic understanding of the metals and engineering plastics fabrication, including molding, machining and welding.
  • Prepare and conduct technical meetings/presentations. Communicate technical information effectively in both oral and written form.
