Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 4 to 8 years of experience or similar preferred; may consider associate degree with 5 to 9 years of experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working with truck body design elements.
  • In-depth knowledge of truck body manufacturing process.
  • In-depth knowledge of truck body regulatory requirements. 
  • Solidworks/ PDM proficiency and certification is preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of sheet metal design and weld fabrication processes, along with knowledge of assembly and welding procedures.

Job Description

  • Prepare 2D Drawings using the SolidWorks CAD tool.
  • 3D part modeling of Sheet Metal parts and extrusions using SolidWorks software.
  • Create/ modify SolidWorks assemblies for parts, drawings, etc.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings,
  • Production drawings and GA drawings.
  • Create new standard parts, Kits and configurable assemblies and sub-assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Assigning new parts numbers for the truck components and assemblies using JDE.
  • Document design process.
  • Check-In and Check-Out of models in PDM live environment.
