Degree or Diploma in Mechanical engineering
At least 5+ years of experience as Mechanical designer preferably with experience in Sheet metal design as well as busbar design
Familiarity and practice of all safety requirements including procedures, PPE, practices, hazard reporting etc
Proven experience in design & engineering of enclosures, busbars, insulating supports etc. for variable speed drives panels/MCC/PCC, and knowledge of related IEC/IS standards
Familiarity with basic operation of drives, switchgear, protection relays, cooling fans, PLC, transformers etc
Expertise in CAD tools like AutoCAD or CREO or Solid Edge and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP
Good communication skills – spoken and written English

Preparation of order specific production documentation of various families of AC and DC variable speed drives cabinets
Participating in discussion with customer or consultant for approval of general arrangement or internal general arrangement drawings, and coordinate with production and vendors during fabrication and assembly of panels
Maintaining on time generation of drawings and achieving first pass yield above 95%
Designing of detailed drawings - fabrication drawings, busbar drawings etc. – parts and assembly
Contributing towards localization of product components
Assessment of cooling air flow, temperature rise, cable & busbar routing and related topics needing working knowledge from electrical engineering domain
