Eligibility Criteria

B.E or Diploma Engg. (Mechanical) having 10-12 years’ experience in grinding and honing.
He must be expert in OD, Bore grinding (preferably NOVA machines) and honing operations.
He should be able to drive the technological improvements, troubleshooting, cost saving projects, initiate training to people for achieving excellence in respective area.
He should be well acquitted with the different suppliers for machines and consumables like grinding wheels, honing stones, etc.

Job Description

Technologist – Grinding and Superfinishing
Drive and coordinate Grinding technology improvement activities in Plant.
Transfer Schaeffler technology know-how to plant, support for selecting machines, technology for new projects and product development projects.
Preparation of requirement specification of new machines.
Determine and assess need for resources and organize the resources
Track project milestones and deliverables
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
Drive and coordinate Grinding technology improvement activities in Plant. He must be expert in bore grinding (preferably NOVA machines), Centreless grinding and honing operations.
Drive daily troubleshooting, improvement projects, ensure sustenance of process.
Training to the operators and setters
Finalizing concept for new investment, preparation of requirement specification, pre-acceptance, final acceptance, Installation and ramp-up of new machine or line
To perform trials of new development parts
To reduce rejection, drive cost saving projects and gap analysis for internal and external quality complaints.
To improve productivity by communicating with Schaeffler Technology for sharing grinding process technology with each other.
