Eligibility Criteria

  • Should be able design and develop systems, subsystems and components of generators. 
  • Able to work on concept layouts along with preliminary design feasibility.
  • Should be expert in the CAD tool (Creo & Catia) required by the Business Unit.
  • Should be able to do basic design calculations required during the project execution.
  • Should be able to analyze GD&T, DFMEA and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Should have a good command on DFMA and design for serviceability.
  • Should be knowledgeable about any two manufacturing processes preferably sheet metal, casting and plastic.
  • Should have basic knowledge of manufacturing engineering and Jigs & Fixtures.
  • Should be knowledgeable about reverse engineering methods.
  • Should be knowledgeable about inspection methods.
  • He should be able to work with PLM (preferably Windchill) and data management systems.
  • He should be able to work on ERP (preferably SAP) systems under manager’s guidance. In case of multiple projects on-hand, prioritize the projects with close coordination with the business unit.
  • Should be able to prioritize and come up with suggestions on prioritization and resource allocation in discussions with the BU and the manager.
  • Should be able to plan and come up with solutions on project requirements in discussions with the BU and the manager.

Job Description

  • Work in coordination with reporting manager to execute and complete the project from start to end by ensuring timeline and quality.
  • Should be able to provide and seek solutions to resolve technical as well as non-technical issues that may affect the project with a proactive approach.
  • Keep manager updated on all project related issues, concerns and achievements and seek his support whenever required.
  • Should be able to work and handle multiple projects efficiently.
  • Provide and implement corrective actions and preventive measures regarding quality and timelines for the projects and maintain proper documentation.
  • Provide value added suggestions for design improvements and cost reductions wherever applicable.
  • Should be able to handle complex projects under the guidance of the manager
  • Ensure project status is up to date.
  • Also update project information at the appropriate database.
  • Assist/ guide junior associates and trainees in documentation.
  • Should be conversant with most of the set process
  • Should follow process thoroughly and also insist other to do the same.
  • Should be able to give suggestions regarding process improvements or developing new process for improving efficiency.
  • Work closely with managers/colleagues to understand the changes and new processes that have been developed and give inputs whenever required.
