Job Overview

As a Mechanical Design and Drafting Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Installation Engineering Team, supporting NKT Victoria and other cable lay vessels. Your role will involve designing back deck layouts, platform topside interfaces, and developing new tools and equipment. You will ensure the effective and on-time installation of projects, contributing to our offshore installation capabilities and competitiveness.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in the offshore construction industry.
  • 5+ years of design and drafting experience, including 2-3 years in offshore installation.
  • Experience working in remote international teams.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other 3D design software.
  • Knowledge of Windchill PLM.

Job Description

  • Generate step drawings, back deck layouts, and arrangements for pull-ins on platforms and landfalls.
  • Design joint bays, cable system layouts, and modifications for equipment used on vessels.
  • Draft and modify equipment and layout designs for vessels or barges.
  • Ensure proper integration of all components involved in cable systems and offshore operations.
  • Prepare and review as-built drawings, ensuring all design and structural details are accurately reflected.
