Job Overview

The position is responsible for design and development of component(s)/module by preparing concepts in Mechanical Structures, thermal, hydraulics , combustion and mechatronics. Builds on organizational/process knowledge, understands business needs. Solves simple problems, analyzes and provides solutions/ alternatives. Moderate guidance and direction needed.

  • Experience Required- 3 to 6 yrs

Job Description

  • Responsible to generate and review engineering design concepts at module/component level and aimed at improving performance, increasing quality and/ or optimizing cost.
  • Drive engineering calculations as required supporting Design integrity.
  • Evaluate, recommend the developed concepts in terms of engineering, manufacturing and suggest best concept, priority of selection, and other trade-off if necessary.
  • Responsible to understand project requirements/physics of problem/ Design requirements.
  • Responsible to convert Consumer Requirements into less complex Technical problem and perform component level designs independently with help from SME’s
  • Apply DFx( DFA,DFM,DFR,DFS,DFSS) methodologies in Design in consultation with SME’s
  • Responsible for DVP line item for component/module level
  • Create Model Shop / Lab requests /SBD requests and support in Virtual/ Physical build as applicable
  • Drive /Support /Contribute projects using product development process as th
  •  Responsible for Product Structure Management at component / module level.
  • Generate ideas using various VA/VE tools like teardowns to continuously build LOS for future projects.
  • Analyze SIR and BOM data to calculate the feasibility of design concepts and solutions
