Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in mechanical, structural, or civil engineering
  • Few years of working experience as a structural engineer or similar
  • Knowledge of or interest in fatigue calculations, FE-analysis and structural assessment
  • Interest to learn more about wind turbine tower design

Job Description

  • Tower Technology develops Vestas new design methodologies, future tower concepts and technological solutions for next generation of wind turbines. Our projects span a wide range of technical areas, from the design of complex dynamically loaded concrete and steel structures such as towers for wind turbines, to bolted and welded connections and to fatigue calculations buckling analysis and structural assessment
  • You will be supporting the project's technical manager in developing new solutions from early conceptualization to final detailed design. This includes, among other things preparing requirement specifications, structural calculations and FE analyses in ANSYS
  • You will typically work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders from the entire tower value chain. Therefore, over time you will build a large internal network at Vestas and expand your horizons from the technical development to also cover production, construction and service\
