Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
  • 7-15 years of experience in a supervisory role within a production environment, preferably in manufacturing industries.
  • Proven people handling experience specially unionized workforce
  • Preferably you have made improvements using lean methods.
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Hands on knowledge in data analytics, 6 sigma certifications will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of automation and modern production technologies. Understanding on Industry 4.0
  • Experience working in Automotive, Underground mining equipment industry is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex production systems and workflows.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and production systems.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position with working hours typically in Shifts or General shift depending on the business requirement.
  • The role involves a combination of office-based work and on-site supervision in the production area.

Job Description

  • Plan, monitor and control product manufacturing / assembly.
  • Process Optimization: Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and lower production costs.
  • Technical Leadership: Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior production engineers, technicians, and machine operators.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and oversee quality control procedures, including ISO standards compliance and root cause analysis of production defects.
  • Capacity Planning and process layout to achieve On Time delivery requirements of the Local and Export Orders.
  • Guide and motivate people to work towards efficiency and productivity of the highest order.
  • Ensure timely execution of new product development projects in co-ordination with Engineering, Operations development /Manufacturing Engineering Sourcing.
  • Strive for cost reduction, continuous quality improvement,
  • Collate, Analyse and present inputs for feedback / monthly reporting
  • Ensuring & promoting safe working environment in line.
  • Developing and maintain quality and environmental management systems. IMS -ISO 9000/ISO 14000/ compliance for Assembly.
  • Evaluating and improving systems & procedures as needed in line with TQM, 6 Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban etc.
