Job Overview

As a Design Engineer supporting a major consumer electronics brand India rollout, you will be responsible for adapting and optimizing existing MGFS fixtures to meet local market requirements. This includes modifying designs to align with retailer-specific guidelines and ensuring technical excellence across branded retail fixtures, POS displays, and immersive store environments. You will work closely with our Global Design Lead and collaborate with internal teams, major consumer electronics brand stakeholders, and third-party suppliers across India and APAC.  

Eligibility Criteria

  • Collaborate with the Global Design Lead to adapt existing fixture designs for the Indian market, ensuring alignment with local retailer specifications and brand standards
  • Design for manufacture is an important skill, ensuring that concepts are not only innovative but also feasible and cost-effective to produce
  • Modify technical documentation, 3D models, and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and PDM, incorporating retailer-specific constraints and installation requirement
  • Liaise with internal HH Global teams and brand stakeholders to define project timelines, cost estimates, and production feasibility
  • Ensure all designs meet brand’ssustainability, safety, and compliance standards
  • Participate in cross-functional development projects involving engineering, sourcing, and installation teams across India and APAC
  • Support prototyping and sample reviews, incorporating feedback from brand’s technical and creative teams
  • Maintain and manage technical documentation, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on design progress and changes 

Job Description

  • Strong engineering background with expertisein materials such as wood, metal, plastics, and digital integration components
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and PDM; ability to sketch concepts by hand before CAD development
  • Experience designing for retail environments, preferably with global brands or high-tech clients
  • Experience working with Indian consumer electronics retailers such as Reliance Digital, Croma, Lotus Vijay, and others is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with retailer-specific guidelines and installation standards in India
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced rollout environment
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is a plus
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-cultural teams
  • Detail-oriented, innovative, and passionate about delivering technical solutions that meet brands high standards
