Job Overview

  • Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Engineer with LVPC. This position will be based in Pune, India.
  • The individual will be responsible for developing Low Voltage power distribution units, fuses fuse holder assembly, Vehicle electric centers etc to meet product requirements including safety, reliability, and conformance to standards. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • B-Tech/BE / ME/MtechYears and area of experience required / 0 to 2 years with Master's degree 2 to 4 years with Bachelors degreeTechnical knowledge 3D modeling and drawings, GD&T, Tolerance stackup, Engineering design calculations, Risk analysis & assessment (DFMEA)
  • Drive for Results, Passionate, Collaborative, Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed, Analysis-First & Digital Mindset
  • Position’s main focus will be to manage customer requirements, concept design/selection, detail design and analysis & design validation - product testing and qualification to enable decision making while executing the engineering work in compliance with engineering practices for Low Voltage power distribution units, fuses fuse holder assembly, Vehicle electric centers etc
  • Working knowledge of mechanical & pneumatic design principles
  • Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing product drawings and models.
  • Candidate must be proficient with ProE-Creo 7.0, CATIA V5 to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings, Bluebeam use for drafting drawings, should be able to perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up and engineering calculations as required supporting design integrity.
  • Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing drawings and models
  • Utilizes understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs & acts as a technical resource for internal / external customers and resolves technical challenges
  • Performs quality checks to ensure design meet Eaton and customer standards / requirements. 

Job Description

  • Individual should have experience in Current Product engineering, New Product Development (NPD) 
  • Individual should have proficiency in mechanical and pneumatic design & drafting (CAD tools), GD&T & statistical tolerancing
  • Ability to Analyze and predict design performance using Simulation tools, Analytical Skills etc.
  • Ensure Design Robustness through application of DFSS Methodology identifying and meeting CTQ’s, Ability to generate subsystem and system level P Diagrams, FMEA.
  • Should use DFSS tools & preferably Green Belt Certified. 
  • A successful candidate will need knowledge and have prior experience of commercial vehicle product development process at system and subsystem levels.
