Job Overview

  • We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer – Continuous Product Improvement to join our Screening Business Line Technology team.
  • In this role, you will lead the end-to-end continuous improvement process for screening equipment, driving design enhancements that improve performance, reliability, safety, and total cost of ownership for mining and aggregate applications.
  • You will collaborate closely with global engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, service, and R&D teams to deliver robust solutions that support both our capital equipment and aftermarket businesses.
  • The role includes structured problem solving, analysis and simulation, technical validation, and field-driven improvements to ensure best-in-class screening performance and customer satisfaction.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent). Masters preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in heavy equipment / industrial machinery product engineering; 3+ years leading improvement programs strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with screening equipment or similar vibrating / rotating machinery (crushers, feeders, conveyors, bulk material handling systems) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor is preferrable.
  • Engineering change management (ECR/ECO), configuration control, documentation discipline
  • Experience with Teamcenter is an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP S4 is an advantage.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

Job Description

  • Lead the continuous product improvement (CPI) process for Screening BL (screens, Feeders and key sub-systems), converting field feedback and performance data into prioritized engineering improvements
  • Design and develop new screening equipment solutions and upgrades (concept to release) for mining and aggregate applications, ensuring performance, durability, safety, and global compliance as part of Change Management
  • Drive cost reduction / value engineering opportunities across the screening equipment portfolio (BOM optimization, standardization, alternate materials/processes, supplier collaboration)
  • Support product sustenance topics for screening equipment, including issue investigation, root cause analysis (8D/A3), corrective actions, and retrofit / interchangeability planning
  • Own engineering change execution (ECR/ECO) and ensure robust documentation, including drawings, specifications, manuals/service bulletins, and change release packages
  • Support modelling, PDM/PLM tools, and master data quality—cleansing and maintaining accurate product structures, revisions, and metadata
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, assembly, quality, sourcing, and suppliers to ensure DFM/DFA, build feasibility, inspection readiness, and quality compliance aligned with screening equipment designs
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentation materials; communicate status, risks, and achieved benefits to stakeholders
