Job Overview

  • Developing fire safety strategies: notably for all sectors of the buildings and infrastructure.
  • Reviewing designs against current codes of practice, analysing and designing solutions including bespoke performance-based fire engineering solutions.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have a degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline.
  • Should have 5+ of fire/smoke modelling tools such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), zone models and evacuation models an advantage.
  • Must have experience of developing fire strategies to UK and international codes of practice.
  • Have working knowledge of and experience of performance-based fire engineering codes of practice in the UK and internationally (such as BS 7974, NFPA 101).
  • Experience of working with international codes such as British Standards, NFPA, IBC, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients, colleagues and other members of the project English
  • Must have excellent skills for report writing in English.

Job Description

  • Undertaking formal peer reviews of fire engineering work.
  • Working alongside other internal/external technical disciplines to provide advice best suited to the project and the Client.
  • Ensuring work is delivered to programme and budget.
  • Ensuring work is delivered to the necessary level of quality.
  • You will report to the Principal Engineer (GDI Fire & Life Safety lead) and be based in our Bangalore office.
