Air system Calibration on Diesel and Gasoline Engine and Vehicle to meet target emission & performance, for all vehicle/engine segment (PC, LCV, Off-Highway, Genset etc.)

Air system calibration on the engine test bed and on vehicle

  • Air system models and Model-based charge control.
  • Data-based charge control.
  • Boost pressure control.
  • PID Control calibration for EGR valve, Throttle valve & Turbocharger.
  • Device library (DELib) calibration for actuators i.e. actuator safety function calibration.
  • Vehicle level calibration (ex. Air control, charge control and boost control) at sea level, higher altitude, high and low temperature geographic locations.
  • Offline pre-calibration and validation on labor for DELib.

Support in Field issue resolution pertaining to air system calibration.

Customer query handling and support

  • Executing calibration activities on the dyno and real driving conditions
  • Participation in customer discussion and updating the status regularly
  • Calibration review with calibration functional experts
  • Field data analysis and report creation
  • Frequent update to calibration activity status to internal team and customers
  • Calibration data and status update in ICDM & VCDM

Qualifications

Engineering or Master's Degree from a reputed university. Preferably from Automotive or Mechanical or equivalent subject with 2 to 5 years of experience.

  • Good understanding of Diesel Engines and mainly air system
  • Basic understanding of calibration process for Emission, After Treatment & OBD
  • Basics understanding of Engine and Vehicle SW functionalities of DS
  • Usage of tools like INCA, MDA, Uniplot, Dahlia, etc.
  • Good communication skills, Self-motivated, and Initiative to work in a time-constrained environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness relocate or extensive travel as part of calibration activities.
  • Quick in understanding technical relations and consequences.
  • Good team-working capabilities.
  • Good driving skills for vehicle calibration activities.
