Job Description

  • Hands on experience in electro mechanical design of lithium ion battery packs
  • Material selection to meet safety, functional and cost requirements
  • Tolerance stack-up analysis and knowledge of ASME Y14.5 dimensioning, tolerancing and engineering drawing practice
  • Standard BOM preparation (Part & assembly level)
  • Component placement, assembly of mounting of BMS, PCB
  • Design of enclosures for automotive vibrations rating, drop tests
  • Design of cell holder and module layout for cylindrical cells, pouch, prismatic
  • Design of cell connections, busbar, cell welding and insulators

Required Competencies:

  • CREO Modelling
  • Drafting (Sheet metal, plastics, cabling)
  • ANSYS (CAE)
  • GD&T
  • Battery pack design
  • Battery thermal system
