Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field and 8 to 10 years relevant work experience required in mechanical machine design in the areas of: mining, oil & gas, construction or comminution equipment or heavy industry is required.
High level of competency to include but not limited to, the use of the following engineering tools: SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Siemens GPDM/Teamcenter, ANSYS, FeeMap, Mathcad, MATLAB.

Compliance with all defined Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities (RRAs) as documented by the Comminution Technology Group for the assigned position.
Complete tasks assigned by supervisor and / or project lead engineer on time.
Responsible for planning their own work schedule to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Provide technical presentations, guidance and support to internal and external customers on analysis of complex application data, problem resolutions and recommendations.
Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external decision makers (key customers and representatives, learning institutions, key sub-suppliers, professional organizations, community groups) to ensure their ongoing support for Weir Minerals Division business objectives.
