Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or related technical degree.
9+ years of experience in development, testing, validation, and deployment of packaging for small and large industrial products, especially related to shock, vibration, and environmental protection for electronic products.
2+ years in leading a small team/s in strategic packaging design projects that have led to significant cost out , waste reduction, and other benefits.
Domain expertise in shock & vibration testing to ASTM D4169, ISTA 3A, 3B and other global packaging standards.
Expert level in documenting designs, creating 2D and/or 3D Engineering CAD models in CREO and or equivalent software, and providing detailed print drawings to vendors.

Lead the development of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging while managing due dates, project timelines, and overall project management.
Design packaging for optimal product protection, efficient transport, delivery & installation.
Identify opportunities for packaging material, handling and logistics cost savings based on chargeable weight/dimensions for transportation.
Lead larger, complex, cross functional packaging design efforts for NPI’s, platforming standard sustainable solutions, damage reduction efforts, and driving overall install and customer experience.
Serve as a subject matter expert in packaging design, act as a mentor for other packaging engineers, and be a key escalation point of contact to handle and problem solve.
Actively drive global packaging standardization, consistency, and quality compliance
Work with design and product engineers early in new product development cycle to affect product design for efficient and economical logistics, sustainability efforts, platforming and regulatory requirements.
