Job Description

  • Increase seal population and create business opportunities through sound technical and commercial proposals in response to Customers and Sales generated opportunities, and adequately follow up on those.
  • Main focus on competitor change-outs and upgrades with the target to increase seal AM business on repairs and parts.
  • Respond to Customers’ inquiries and technical/commercial clarification requests, alone or in combination with Front-End Applications Engineers and/or End User Sales Engineer.
  • Ensure high-quality proposals (technical and commercial) are timely prepared within limitations and customer scope using designated workload management tools and processes working alone or together with a Front-End Applications Engineer.
  • Interact with a Front-End Applications Engineer and/or an End-User Sales Engineer to manage and monitor the proposal throughout the entire bid cycle including updating and maintaining designated workload management tool, while monitoring hit-rate is optimized.
  • Support Front-End Application Engineer to ensure all customer inquiry-related documents while addressing all relevant technical and commercial requirements to customers and/or commercial team.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with Customers, Sales, Operations, and other functional stakeholders to promote the best interests of the company.
  • Demonstrate a firm knowledge of Mechanical seals and Seal Systems fundamentals and clear understanding of all Flowserve seal types. Also, demonstrate a fundamental understanding of different rotating equipment applications and types, pump affinity laws and how these relate to seals and systems.
  • Reducing potential changes by getting upfront agreements and providing technical guidance.
  • Responsible for developing a competitive cost basis, applying approved margins, and calculating appropriate selling prices and lead times for AM systems quotations.
  • Generate clear quotations that the customer understands and support AM Sales.
  • Coordinate Sales Approvals for AM inquiries as outlined in our Sales Approval Policy.
  • Coordinate with seal system Application Engineers to ensure the alignment of quotes
