5+ years of work experience in Backend development.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including - coding standards, code reviews, design patterns, source control management, build processes and testing fundamentals.
Expertise in any one of (each) databases, distributed systems, and queueing systems.
Software development experience in building web services, distributed systems, and highly scalable applications.
Strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations and drive decisions
Ability to define and articulate the ROI of an engineering project.
Substantial experience in building complex and scalable solutions.
Understand system design and can both design and identify gaps in existing designs with efficiency and quality as benchmarks and can measure the same.
Self-driven and can inspire the team to deliver the best quality standard.

Work with business teams and product managers to build products that serve millions of users across 100 cities in India in under 10 min.
Deliver new and improved platforms that enable our product engineering teams to deliver value and delight our customers by enabling 10-minute delivery on a wide assortment of high-quality products.
Partner with our engineering, product, design, data and business leaders to shape the team's vision, direction and strategy.
Work with business teams and product managers to develop execution roadmaps that drive product development cycles, in line with business goals.
Drive the technical roadmap of the team in collaboration with the Engineering and Product teams.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
Research, design and build highly reliable, available and scalable platforms.
Platform components as libraries, utilities and services and promote reuse.
Conceptualize and develop prototypes quickly.
Hire, coach, and mentor new members of the teams.
