Job Overview

Responsible for fabrication and welding of aerospace tube and ducts engine components. requiring expertise in reading drawings, setting up equipment, performing welds, and ensuring quality and safety per AWS D17.1

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed college /university
Minimum of 3 -4 years’ hands on experience in Handling operation in Aviation.
Self motivated to drive productivity projects
Self motivated to drive Safety risk reduction projects
Experience in engineering industry – with firsthand experience of fabrication of tubes and ducts of aircraft engines
Knowledge in welding machines usage and their accessories like welding positioners, Bevellers, Rollers, 3D welding tables, etc.
Sound knowledge of Planning and execution.
Understanding of AS 9100 and S-1000 Quality Standard
Experience in Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing and value stream mapping will be added advantage

Job Description

Welding of tubes, air manifolds, sheet metal parts, stainless steel, Inconel material.
Repair of defective stainless steel and Inconel castings.
Welding and fabrication by using TIG and Orbital welding processes.
Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret drawings, manuals, SOP, MOS and other material to determine finish product.
Assembly of welded products.
Shall have familiar with problem solving tools 5Why, Fishbone and know how’s of RCA
Shall have ability to train others welders
Shall have skill level of L4, able to weld and fabricate all types of tubes in any cell.
Ability to perform RCA of weld defects
Shall be conversant with Flight Deck - SQDIP
Shall have basic knowledge of all weld process Shall be certified in welding process as per AWS D17.1 in 6G position with II A & III B materials.
Shall have experience to produce X ray quality Class A weld joints, with SS 321 & Inconel 625 material
