Job Description

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Create detailed technical drawings, and bill of materials in PDM documentation Vault
  • Coordinate PDM activity for CAD files within a PDM Product Data Management Vault, maintain parametric files for mechanical and electrical designs and their revisions.
  • Work with cross functional teams in purchasing, manufacturing, and sales during the process of Application engineering support / part number creation.
  • To provide engineering support to products and process development, as a part of sustaining Engineering activity.
  • Solve emerging issues, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency.
  • Supports manufacturing with design changes and supporting documentation.
  • Design and develop custom fixtures with help from the local manufacturing team.
  • Develop product assembly instructions for manufacturing team.
  • Develop installation instructions for end users.
  • Knowledge of ERP system environment, Underwriters Laboratory standards and related industrial safety standards is desirable.
  • Technical support for customer queries.
  • ECR should be reviewed and initiated to release the ECO through proper documentation.
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing manufacturing processes and develop solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize costs. 
  • Maintain accurate records of processes, procedures, and findings, and prepare reports for management.
