About Company
Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with deep expertise in rotating equipment and packaged systems, to support onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. This role involves technical leadership, equipment specification, and coordination with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams. Experience working with EPC companies such as Worley, KBR, Technip, or similar is preferred.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15–20 years of experience in rotating equipment and packaged systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of API 610, 616, 617, and 618 standards.
- Experience with Ammonia/Urea projects (minimum 3 years – mandatory).
- Proven leadership on medium to large-scale oil & gas projects.
- Familiarity with EPC and PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environments.
- Solid understanding of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Strong communication, coordination, and client interface skills.
Job Description
- Act as a subject matter expert for rotating machinery and packaged equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines, material handling systems).
- Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, and equipment selection in compliance with API standards (API 610, 616, 617, 618).
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Participate in vendor evaluations, technical bid analysis, and documentation review.
- Develop man-hour estimates, monitor project progress, and implement recovery plans when needed.
- Interface with clients and contractors; represent the company in technical discussions and negotiations.
- Ensure design compliance with PFDs, P&IDs, and relevant codes and standards.
- Contribute to proposal development, budgeting, and resource planning.
