Eligibility Criteria

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 – 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Candidate having US H-1B Visa or B1 Visa is a must & willingness to workk in USA for 1-2 yrs
  • Hands-on experience in 3D modelling and generation of drawings with CAD Tools like CATIA V5 or similar
  • Good knowledge of production process (i.e., injection moulding, sheet metal products)
  • Hands-on experience in working with SAP S/4HANA / PDM system
  • Experience in creation of Drawings and working with Standards
  • Product know how of M+H products as well as system understanding is an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of GD&T, Tolerance stack up & quality processes
  •  Experience in working with MS-Office. (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team with a creative mindset
  • Good communication and presentation skills

Job Description

  • Drive innovative design solutions for Life Science & Environmental (LS&E) products, ensuring high-quality outcomes and on-time delivery.
  • Develop customer-centric products in line with MANN+HUMMEL standards, promoting technical excellence and product innovation.
  • Create and maintain item masters and Bills of Materials (BOM) using SAP S/4HANA and PDM systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage engineering change requests aligned with TCM processes and customer requirements, supporting robust configuration control.
  • Develop and refine 3D models and assemblies using advanced CAD tools (CATIA V5, SOLIDWORKS, or similar).
  • Standardize drawing templates and design practices to ensure global consistency and compliance with M+H quality standards.
  • Design and revise plastic and sheet metal components with a focus on innovation, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Participate in D-FMEA and P-FMEA processes to identify and mitigate design and process risks early in the development lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle—from concept ideation to prototype development.
  • Conduct benchmarking of filtration systems and components to identify improvement opportunities and inform design innovation.
  • Create high-quality technical presentations and renderings to support internal reviews, customer communications, and project milestones.
  • Collaborate with global M+H sites to support customer, cost-down, innovation, and field test projects—driving alignment and shared success.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing design and workflow enhancements.
  • Actively share best practices and lessons learned within the global M+H design network to foster organizational learning and collaboration.
  • Engage in cross-cultural collaboration, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and adaptability in a global team environment.
  • Support team leader/manager in executing strategic, organizational, and innovation-driven initiatives.
