Eligibility Criteria

  • Basic to intermediate experience in field service, ideally with engine or power generation products.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing engines, turbochargers, fuel systems, dosing systems, and aftertreatment systems.
  • Experience with high-voltage/low-voltage systems is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with exposure to service reporting and tools (e.g., ePIR).
  • Prior involvement in technical training, warranty handling, customer support, and incident resolution.
  • Customer service and field failure analysis experience preferred.
  • Vocational Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred).
  • Relevant Electrical Certification (Optional).
  • Valid Local Driving License (Mandatory).
  • Additional licensing may be required for export control or regulatory compliance.

Job Description

  • Diagnose and complete less complex repairs on Cummins engines and related systems using specialized tools and documented procedures.
  • Provide courteous, professional customer interactions, ensuring prompt service and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Utilize electronic service tools (e.g., INSITE) for engine and aftertreatment system diagnostics.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and train customer employees on basic repairs.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior technicians or supervisors; accurately document service actions and findings.
  • Train OEMs and service center teams on Cummins products, ensuring proper use and support.
  • Maintain service databases, prepare incident reports, and manage warranty claims and parts dispatch.
  • Perform service audits, field failure analysis, and support corrective actions for product issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment, following all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
  • Participate in technical training programs and remain current on product and technical knowledge.
