Job Overview

  • This role is part of a structured training and development program aimed at building technical expertise in engine rebuilding and maintenance.
  • The technician will work under direct supervision to learn and apply mechanical skills, safety protocols, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • The position involves hands-on work with diesel engines and sub-assemblies, contributing to high-performance rebuilds and continuous improvement initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Hands-on experience in engine rebuilding and mechanical maintenance.
  • Familiarity with diesel engine components and sub-assemblies.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and PPE usage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Experience with TPM and continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Job Description

  • Rebuild diesel engines ranging from B3.3 to QSK78, including mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Rebuild sub-assemblies such as liner-piston, oil cooler, aftercooler, and oil pan.
  • Inspect components for wear, damage, and usability prior to assembly.
  • Perform dry leak testing on engines and components.
  • Maintain 5S standards to ensure a clean and organized work area.
  • Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards.
  • Comply with all HSE standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in HSE training and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Identify and correct hazards within control and capability.
  • Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.
  • Perform supervised work using diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
  • Conduct quality inspections and provide feedback for preventive maintenance.
  • Follow process documentation and quality procedures.
  • Track and record data related to component performance and rebuilds.
