Job Description

  • Lead NVH development and validation across washer and dryer programs, ensuring compliance with performance and consumer satisfaction targets.
  • Conduct noise and vibration testing, analyze results, and propose design countermeasures for system and component improvements.
  • Develop and correlate simulation models (FEA / MBD / SEA) to predict NVH behavior and guide design decisions early in the product development cycle.
  • Translate VOC into measurable NVH attributes and engineering specifications for design teams.
  • Partner with subsystem, simulation, and test teams to define and deliver NVH verification & validation (V&V) plans.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for NVH-related field issues and warranty concerns.
  • Create and maintain FMEA, DVPR, and other key design documents as part of the Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) methodology.
  • Benchmark competitor products to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for innovation and cost optimization.
  • Guide design engineers and cross-functional teams on NVH fundamentals, best practices, and design improvements.
  • Drive closure of DFMEA actions and update occurrence and detection ratings based on validation outcomes.
