Job Description

  • Experience in process design and engineering related to industrial water & wastewater treatment projects as well as RO and desalination systems (brackish water, seawater, and wastewater recovery). 
  • Preparation of preliminary and detailed process design for Pretreatment systems (Lamella, DAF/DAFF, Media Filters, Ultra-filtration), Oil removal systems (API, TPI, DAF), Biological treatment systems (SBR, ASP, MBBR, MBR), Reverse Osmosis systems (Brackish water, and wastewater), Chemical dosing systems (pre, post, and intermediate treatment), Sludge treatment systems (Centrifuge, Filter Press, Thickener), Post-treatment systems (Limestone filters, remineralization), Conventional treatment units (DM Plant, Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU), Evaporators).
  • Proficiency in RO and UF membrane design using vendor tools (Wave, IMS Design, Toray DS, Inge, etc.), with ability to optimize design based on feedwater quality, recovery targets, and performance guarantees.
  • Expertise in process technology selection and process calculations, including hydraulic analysis, pressure drop calculations, line sizing, and membrane/filter sizing. Preparation of key process deliverables such as PFD, P&ID, HFD, plant layouts, hydraulic profiles, electrical load lists, and power consumption analysis under guaranteed design conditions.
  • Preparation of RFQs, datasheets, scope of work, and technical specifications for pumps, valves, and other engineering equipment, ensuring proper sizing and selection for desalination and industrial treatment projects.
  • Development of control philosophy, O&M manuals, and process documentation for smooth project execution, handover, and operations support.
  • Coordination with PLC/automation engineers to develop, review, and validate process control logic; active participation in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
  • Involvement in technical meetings, design reviews, and decision-making processes; preparation of meeting minutes and ongoing coordination with clients, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Independent review and preparation of technical bid evaluations, vendor comparisons, and document reviews, including clarification and resolution of vendor technical queries.
  • Willingness to travel for short-term and long-term assignments to client/consultant offices and project sites for design approvals, technical discussions, commissioning support, and troubleshooting during execution.
