Job Description

  • As a Process Engineer in automotive manufacturing, you will be responsible for designing, developing and documenting processes for both new and existing production lines, including creation of Process Flow Diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures, FMEA’s, and Control Plans—to ensure consistent quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • You will specify, order, and manage production tooling and fixtures, monitoring tool life and performance, and ensuring tooling meets required tolerances and maintains process capability.
  • You will evaluate, select, procure, install, and commission new equipment, validating its performance and ensuring that it supports production targets.
  • Through continuous improvement activities, including layout optimization, lean manufacturing, cycle-time reduction, waste minimization, scrap reduction & problem-solving techniques to optimise OEE .

  • You’ll also lead problem-solving efforts when production issues arise—conducting root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Lead role in Management of change assessing safety and process critical risks and mitigation; maintaining an up-to-date document management system.
  • Facilitate and coach the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective preventative action, recognized internal tools QK, BAT, 8D.
  • Throughout all tasks, you will maintain documentation, track key performance metrics (such as cycle time, scrap rate, throughput, tool life), and work closely with Quality, Design, Maintenance, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure that processes meet cost, quality, delivery, and safety standards.
