Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed college. Master’s degree in mechanical engineering is a plus. Min 70% (8 CGPA) marks.
  • 2+ years of product design/VAVE experience in any industrial products like couplings, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, turbines, clutches, brakes, machines tool etc.
  • Hands-on experience with design engineering principles and practices.
  • Exposure to drawings and specifications including GD&T, material standards etc.
  • Proficient in creating drawings and models using any of the CAD software like SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor.
  • Exposure to mfg. processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Good time management and execution skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, Team player & collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and with sense of urgency.
  • Good Analytical Skills and Critical Thinking

Job Description

  • Provide support to NPD, VAVE, redesign projects execution.
  • Design new components & modify existing components per customer requirements. Perform various engineering calculations.
  • Provide support in creating DFMEA and DFM&A assessments as needed.
  • Provide support for preparing test plan required for lab testing. Co-ordinate all activities related to testing per test plan including vendor interaction. Provide inputs for FEA validations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute project deliverables.
  • Support in creating drawings, design documents, installation instructions, customer data sheets etc.
  • Perform competitor study and identify opportunities. Keep up to date on industry trends, mechanical powertrain industry/technology.
  • Support problem solving (5 Whys, 8D, fishbone) and countermeasure development
  • Provide daily update to supervisor/BU. Participate in project update meeting with BU weekly.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
