WSO2 Senior Engineer – API Integration and Middleware Platform Systems

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

We are seeking a skilled WSO2 Senior Engineer with hands-on expertise in WSO2 solutions to design, implement, and optimize enterprise integration use cases. This role involves configuring WSO2 components, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Design, code, debug, test, implement, and document WSO2 sequences.
• Develop and design various integration use cases, enhancing WSO2 solutions and associated components.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to gather requirements and propose optimal solutions.
• Set up service mediation, transformation, enrichment, routing, and orchestration workflows in WSO2 platforms such as WSO2 Micro Integrator (MI) and API Manager (APIM).
• Align with DevOps processes to automate build, development, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Write integration unit test cases to ensure high-quality code and thorough test coverage.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of WSO2 solutions to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement advanced WSO2 features like API security, throttling, and analytics.
• Customize WSO2 functionality using Java, including the development of custom mediator classes or connectors.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience: 3 – 4 years of hands-on experience in WSO2 technologies, including WSO2 Micro Integrator (MI) and API Manager (APIM).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Skill Requirement

• Technical Skills:
• Strong Java development skills with experience in custom development for WSO2.
• Deep knowledge of at least two WSO2 products (API Manager, Identity Server, Enterprise/Micro Integrator).
• Hands-on experience with advanced WSO2 features, including API security, throttling, and analytics.
• Proficiency in WSO2 installation, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in developing WSO2 custom mediator classes or connectors.
• Familiarity with integration patterns and best practices.
• Additional Skills:
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) (added advantage).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) (added advantage).
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (added advantage).
• Experience deploying WSO2 in cloud environments (added advantage).
• Other Requirements:
• Basic knowledge of database operations.
• Experience working in at least 2–3 different domains (e.g., Insurance, Banking, Hospitality, Network/Telecom).
• Hands-on experience with WSO2 clustering and high availability setups.
