Eligibility Criteria

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in CAD design, preferably work experience with mining or related products.
  • Knowledge on materials and heat treatment processes.
  • Manufacturing processes.
  • Engineering basics & Mechanisms
  • Testing and validation, VAVE
  • Knowledge in DFMEA and DFA, RCA & ANSI standard
  • Very good knowledge of GD&T, stack-up analysis
  • Good experience in Inventor or Solid works.
  • Experience working with Creo will be an advantage.
  • PLM/PDM system knowledge
  • BE or B. Tech degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics or Industrial Production or from reputed institutions.

Job Description

  • Generate concepts, perform engineering calculations and make detailed design on Exploration bits, In the hole tools (core retrieval tools) and related products.
  • Coordinate with R&D team for Product Development.
  • Prepare a detailed project status and sharing the progress with customers on timely basis.
  • Work on continuous improvement of products and participate in sustenance activities.
  • Interact with sourcing and other stakeholders and generate cost effective designs.
  • Perform design calculations as required.
  • Preparation of 2D drawings and 3D models, releasing of BOM in PLM.
  • Follow best practices, mining standards, design procedures, instructions and standards.
  • Conduct competitor product analysis as needed.
  • Conduct peer reviews of other engineers’ designs to ensure that they are completed to a high standard and in accordance with co. and industry standards.
  • Work using project management system and aid in improvements.
  • Maintain and nurture effective communication with all the stakeholders.
  • Engage self in continuous learning and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Reporting to the Manager\Project Leader in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure following of Epiroc policies, values and adhere to business code of practice.
  • Exhibits Epiroc core values, integrity and open global culture.
