Job Description

  • As a Design Engineer you are involved, together with the engineering team of TECforLime, in the complete design of the new lime production facilities.
  • TECforLime was launched in 2018 and TECforLime India was established in Bengaluru in 2021 to support TECforLime & Carmeuse Group’s global projects. It is a new platform for services and solutions owned 100% by the Carmeuse Group, offering its technical expertise and know-how in lime production to all end-markets. Its team of engineers works hand-in-hand with customers and application experts to tailor its solutions to each and every situation.
  • Collect the data required to start the design.
  • Define the first process flow diagram and mass balance of the project.
  • Define the general architecture and lay-out of the plant.
  • Make Request for Quotation and Offers Comparison of the process and handling equipment.
  • Elaborate the technical feasibility study of the project (Technical Assumptions + Cost approach).
  • Build and manage the budget and schedule of the mechanical design engineering part of the project.
  • Prepare the technical specifications for all equipment and participate to the purchasing process (technical negotiation).
  • Define, with our engineering team, the architecture of the process buildings (equipment integration, structural parts, piping, utilities, cable ways, instrument integration, …).
  • Follow and manage the development of the basic engineering with our design team (internally or with external supplier) – PID, Equipment List.
  • Prospect possible new suppliers for equipment or new workshops for structural parts.
  • Develop the 3D model of the new production facility with external supplier.
  • Develop with our engineering partners the complete workshop drawings and documentation package for our workshops and erection companies.
  • Check the fabrication in our workshops.
  • Integrate all the auxiliary equipment and utility networks.
  • Contact point with our erection companies on site for technical questions.
  • Engineering support during erection phase.
  • Manage the improvements or modifications.  
  • Inspection on site.
