About Company

The Western Railway is one of the 19 zones of Indian Railways and is among the busiest railway networks in India, headquartered at Mumbai, Maharashtra. The major railway routes of Indian Railways which come under Western Railways are: Mumbai Central–Ratlam, Mumbai Central–Ahmedabad and Palanpur–Ahmedabad.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria
  • The Applicants should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed
  • 24 years of age as on 22/10/2024.
  • SC/ST/OBC- Relaxation in Upper age limit by 05 years in case of SC/ST applicants and 03 years
  • in case of OBC Applicants.
  • Persons with Disability (PWD):- Upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
  • The Applicants should have already passed the prescribed
  • qualification on the date of issue of this Notification i.e. 20/09/2024 as under:-
  • Matriculate or 10th Class in 10+2 examination system
  • with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board.
  • ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT/SCVT is compulsory in
  • relevant trade as under:-

Selection Process

Merit List Preparation:
  • The merit list will be based on the average percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (minimum 50%) and ITI exams, giving equal weightage to both.
Tie-Breaker Criteria:
  • Older applicants will be preferred in case of a tie.
  • If age is also the same, the applicant who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered first.
  • Document Submission: Applicants need to upload their documents online; no physical submission is required.
Mark Calculation:
  • SSC/Matriculation marks will be calculated by adding up all subjects' marks (not just the best of five).
  • ITI marks will be calculated based on the average of all semesters from the Provisional National Trade Certificate.
  • Verification and Medical Fitness: Final selection is subject to verification of original documents and medical fitness.
  • Standby Candidates: Standby candidates will be called based on merit if there are absentees, medically unfit, or rejected candidates from the main merit list.
